Our Founders' Combined Strengths
Guillermo is also knowledgeable in wine making but his true passion lies in viticulture, from vineyard design, through development, maintenance and harvesting of the vines.
Ivan Ramirez
Ivan Ramirez is a wine consultant and master blender with over 15 years of experience working with small high-end wineries as well as with the largest players in the wine business. Ivan began his career in 2006 at Concannon Vineyard, where he spent several years working as a cellar rat. Over the years, Ivan has established himself as an expert in fine tuning wines, sales of bulk wine and grapes, understanding market cycles and building long term relationships. His organizational and negotiation skills, his network of associates and friends, his knowledge of the business, are valuable attributes to Vine & Wine Connect, LLC. Ivan is a hard-working, get-the-job-done kind of guy. When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with his three children in the middle of nowhere around a campfire.
Ivan is well versed throughout the wine industry from his experience working in the cellar, fine-tuning wine and staying up to date with the consumer market.

Guillermo Herrera
Guillermo was born into the vineyard business. The son of Mexican immigrant workers, Guillermo witnessed firsthand the essence of hard work. Guillermo recalls as a young child being around the vineyard and watching his mother work the vines. As he grew in age, he was required to lend a hand and by the time he was in high school he was assisting his family put food on the table. At the age of 21, he was already responsible for the maintenance of hundreds of acres. He continued to master his craft working side by side with his team and learning from leaders in the industry. Working full time and attending viticulture classes and seminars at the local college and at UC Davis, Guillermo elevated his knowledge of his trade. Guillermo always says that to be the leader of your pack you need to know how to do the work. Only then will you have a good team and only then will you be a good leader.
